About Tsukuba Universal Alumni Network (TUAN)

Aims of TUAN

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the University of Tsukuba, we will launch the Tsukuba Universal Alumni Network (TUAN) to promote overseas alumni associations and alumni networks, and strengthen ties with the university.
TUAN will build a collaborative system between the university and overseas alumni associations, and with the university’s support, TUAN will provide mutual assistance to overseas alumni, provide benefits to overseas alumni, and support current international students.

Roles, Etc. of Representatives

  1. Positions and number of people to be elected
    1 representative, 3 vice-representatives determined by the number of votes on Oct.1, 2023
  2. Roles
    The representative and vice-representatives will be invited by the university once during their term of office)

    • Representative:
      To consider plans with the university leading to vitalization for TUAN activities and overseas alumni network building
    • Vice-representatives:
      To support for activities of the representative
      To exchange of opinions for future activities
      Provision of local information to the university and dissemination of information from the university
  3. Frequency of activities
    Twice or three times a year (online meetings with relevant parties, attending events such as TGSW)
    Exchange of opinions by email
  4. Term of office
    2 years (representative and vice-representatives may be reappointed only once)
