筑波大学は、ブラジルJapan Houseと学術交流協定を締結しました。
覚書締結に際し、3月10日にブラジルサンパウロ市にあるJapan Houseにて調印式を挙行しました。Japan Houseと本学は、大学機関とのワークショップや2020年の留学フェア開催をとおし、2017年から関係を深めてきました。式典では、大根田修国際室室長が6年以上に亘る筑波大学のブラジルでの活動支援や友好について感謝の意を述べるとともに今後も強固な連携構築について期待を寄せました。この協定締結を機に、ブラジルにおける本学の活動のさらなる展開はもちろん、本学が日本とブラジルの連携強化の一助となることが期待されます。

FAPESPと筑波大学（UT）は、2017年9月1日に、日本のUTとブラジルのサンパウロ州の研究者の間で、共同研究プロジェクトへの資金提供を通じた科学技術協力を実施することを目的とした「研究に関する協力協定」を締結しました。
本プログラムにより筑波大学は、サンパウロ州の教育・研究機関との長期的協力関係を促進し、新たなパートナーシップの開拓や既存のパートナーシップの強化を目指しています。言及された協定に基づき、この実りある協力関係を継続するために、FAPESPとUTは、SPRINT 2021の条件に基づき、以下に定める教員およびポスドク研究者の交流のための本提案募集を公開します。なお、本件の応募にあたっては、日本側代表者が筑波大学に、サンパウロ側代表者がFAPESPにそれぞれ申請書を提出する必要があります。
その際、双方の申請計画が同じであることをよく確認してください。
FAPESP and University of Tsukuba (UT), signed a Cooperation Agreement for Research on September 1st, 2017, aiming to implement scientific and technological cooperation between researchers from the UT, Japan, and from the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, through the funding of joint research projects.
Through this program, the University of Tsukuba aims to promote long-term cooperation with educational and research institutions in the state of São Paulo, and to develop new partnerships and strengthen existing ones.
Under the referred Agreement, to continue this fruitful collaboration, FAPESP and UT make public this Call for Proposals for the exchange of faculty and postdoctoral researchers under the terms and conditions of the SPRINT 2021 and hereinafter set forth.
Note that in order to apply for this program the representative from Japan must submit the application to the University of Tsukuba, and the representative from São Paulo must submit the application to FAPESP. Please make sure that the application plans of both parties are the same.

2021年9月TGSW2021トランスパシフィックな共同研究を目指したオンラインポスターマッチングを目標にポスターセッションを開催いたしました。
南米拠点では、TGSW2021において研究者同士のマッチングを目標とするポスターセッションの機会を提供しました。これは日本と中南米の研究者がそれぞれの研究の問い、研究活動、将来の展望と課題をポスターの形で共有し、自由なコミュニケーションの中で研究のブラッシュアップや共同研究に結びつけようとするものです。また、ライブセッションでも各テーブルにて活発なディスカッションが行われ、有意義なセッションとなりました。
2021年6月本学とペルー国立サンマルコス大学（UNMSM）との共同学術ワークショップをオンライン開催しました。
大根田国際室長の開会挨拶、UNMSMバロン国際協力室長の挨拶があり、「SDGsと学術的な挑戦。ポストヒューマン時代におけるCOVID-19、経済成長、環境」をテーマに、本学・UNMSMの教授各３名が講演しました。その後、本学木島特命教授とアキノ・サンマルコス/アジアセンター研究教授の司会進行で、視聴者との活発な意見交換を行いました。今後もワークショップを企画し、「持続可能な開発目標」のテーマについて建設的な議論、研究者同士の出会いの場を提供します

筑波大学は、グローバル戦略の一環として、ブラジルを拠点として、日本と中南米諸国との協力を促進することを目指しています。
