2018.04.16

On April 16, 2018, Prof. Keiichi Aizawa of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and also the Director of the university’s Bonn Office held a briefing session on campus (A203, Humanities & Social Sciences Building) for students who wish to study abroad at our partner universities in Germany and other European institutions. About 30 people attended the session. Director Aizawa provided information about studying in our partner universities in Germany, while a staff from the Center for Education of Global Communication (CEGLOC) gave information on summer seminars offered at Bayreuth University in Germany. In addition, scholarship information and application procedures were discussed by staff of the Student Exchange Division. Dean Saburo Aoki of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences also provided encouraging words about experiencing Europe as well as measures to deal with crisis adequately.

For students who are thinking of studying abroad, the session was useful to inform them not only of the procedures necessary for study abroad, but also the practical aspects such as the required language skills, managing risks on-site, among others.
