RESIDENCE CARD
If your period of stay is longer than three months, your residence card will be issued at the time of your arrival in Japan (a residence card is not issued for a stay of less than three months). Your residence card will contain vital personal information such as your name, date of birth, gender, nationality/region, address, status of residence, period of stay, and whether or not there are any employment restrictions, etc. If there is any change in this information, you have an obligation to notify the authority of the change. You are also required by law to carry your residence card with you at all times. Please be sure to hold it any time.
