Five TISS (The Undergraduate Program of International Social Studies) international students participated in the 2023 National Model United Nations held in Washington, D.C., US in November, 2023.

On January 26 during the lunch break, an exchange event with international students was held at the University of Tsukuba Student Commons.
A student from Azerbaijan, presented an introduction to her country, known as the Land of Fire, fostering enjoyable conversations in English.

On January 25, a cultural exchange event was held at the University of Tsukuba Global Village.
On this day, students from Taiwan introduced their home region with performances,
and traditional Lunar New Year rice cakes and flavored tea were offered.

Annual Japanese Culture Week was held at the Student Commons of the University of Tsukuba from January 16th to 19th.
On the final day, participants enjoyed mochi pounding and were served freshly made mochi after that.
